Masoud, a Solicitor-Advocate, is the Managing Director and founding member of Ashwood Solicitors. He is also the firm’s Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and Financial Administration. Masoud has over 17 years of experience working in the legal sector. The following qualification as a Solicitor Advocate worked at one of the leading Personal Injury firms in the North West before establishing Ashwood Solicitors in 2008. He is experienced in a varied range of personal injury litigation as well as general Civil Litigation, with an emphasis on high value, complex matters. He acts for people who have sustained very severe life-changing injuries, including claims involving severe orthopaedic injuries and traumatic brain injuries. Masoud is renowned for having a ‘mind for the detail’ and is meticulous in representing his clients. Masoud is a former Justice of the Peace, a school governor, and a keen sports enthusiast and a committed fan of Blackburn Rovers.
Shafeeq Mohammed Rehman

Shafeeq joined the team in 2011. He is an expert in the Personal injury and litigation. He has undertaken a broad range of litigation work and complex cases. He has built a very trusting relationship with previous and existing clients with his professional and common-sense approach. Shafeeq loves to travel and is passionate about learning and adapting to various cultures. Understanding different cultures enable him to understand the needs of clients from a variety of different backgrounds.

Shahbaz is a Senior Solicitor and founding member of Ashwood Solicitors.
Shahbaz has nearly 20 years of experience working in the legal sector. Shahbaz trained at one of the leading firms specialising in Personal Injury, Litigation, and Credit Hire in the North West. He then moved on to establish Ashwood Solicitors Limited in 2008. Over the years, Shahbaz has represented people with very complex matters involving severe life-threatening injuries and high-value cases. He is experienced in various areas, including Credit Hire, Personal Injury litigation, and general Civil Litigation. Straight forward delivery of information and advice are a feature of Shahbaz’s approach, and he can break through the complexities of any matter to achieve the desired result.
Shahbaz is also responsible for business development at Ashwood Solicitors.
Melissa Perkins

Melissa joined Ashwood Solicitors in 2011 and practices within the Personal Injury department, specialising in litigated, complex, and high value claims. Melissa holds an LLB degree in Law with Criminology from Nottingham Trent University. She attended Nottingham Law School and was awarded a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course. Melissa has completed her Civil Higher Rights training and was admitted as a Solicitor-Advocate in January 2015. Melissa became a Director of Ashwood Solicitors in 2018.
Ajaz Shafi

Ajaz joined Ashwood Solicitors in 2010 and is responsible for office management and human resources. Ajaz works closely with the senior management team. He also fulfils a number of senior administrative roles and is highly skilled in business relations.

Depali has been a solicitor for over 8 years. She deals with all types of Asylum and human rights cases and is an accredited senior case worker. Depali Ahmed also deals with Immigration case reviews and compliance matters along with advocacy.

Salim has extensive experience in all types of immigration matters including preparing asylum and immigration appeals, fresh claims, entry clearance applications, Article 8 applications, family reunion, EEA applications and complex applications outside the immigration rules. He also have considerable experience in conducting advocacy at the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber. His aim is to always endeavour to achieve the best outcome for his clients.
Salim graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with an LLB (Hons) in Law obtaining a 2.1. I then went on to successfully complete the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the same university. Salim is also fluent in Urdu and Punjabi and can advise clients in these languages.

Rahima is a valuable member of the team. She is a Level 2 IAAS immigration and Asylum caseworker and trainee solicitor. Rahima also deals with legal aid matters at the firm and has great skills in identifying the clients needs. She prides herself in ensuring that clients understand the Immigration rules and best way in which to achieve the desired outcome.

Amunah has a vast amount of Immigration experience of over 10 years and is a great member of Ashwood Solicitors.
She can deal with many aspects of Immigration such as asylum cases, fresh claims, preparing appeal entry clearance application for family reunion, adult dependant relatives and spouse visa, leave to remain applications under parent route or partner route and settlement applications . She also does British citizenship applications for adults/child, British passport applications and domestic violence applications.

Pier has been with Ashwood Solicitors since 2010 and a pleasant key member of the team. She deals and assists with many tasks such as compliance, drafting documents, typing from dictation along with certain aspect of accounts. She works closely senior members of the firm.
