Alex joined Ashwood Solicitors in February 2018. He has been specialising in immigration law since 2011 and qualified as a solicitor in January 2016, following a training contract at Latitude Law.
He studied for his LLB at the University of Birmingham and his LPC at the University of Law. In 2012 he completed his Masters in Law at Manchester Metropolitan University and was awarded a distinction for his dissertation on rights of free-movement for same-sex couples within the EU. In 2017 he co-authored a chapter on immigration in the Bloomsbury Academic publication ‘Doing Business After Brexit’. Alex regularly appears as an advocate in the First-tier Tribunal and is involved with a local charity, the LGBT Foundation, advising on their provision of services to asylum seekers.
